Movement for the Mind


Exercise is a great way to lift your mood, and brings a sense of enjoyment to getting fitter. As well as improving your energy levels and improving sleep and digestion, exercise helps you to feel positive about yourself. Improving your self-esteem is a useful tool in coping with common mental health challenges such as depression and anxiety.

Learning how to properly stretch and relax your body also calms the mind, helping you to process emotion. Controlled breathing and focusing mindfully on how you are moving helps to alleviate worries and concerns. Once you are calm, it is easier to focus logically on problems.

Gentle movement aids relaxation and helps to give you that ‘feel good’ factor to bring a sense of well-being into daily life.

Personal training sessions with me are tailored specifically to your own health and wellbeing. We will focus on:

  • Gentle stretching
  • balance and flexibility.
  • Co-ordination
  • Concentration





Making exercise part of your daily life, combined with eating sensibly contributes to a long, healthy life. Weather permitting, we can exercise outdoors.
