The Psychology of Horsemanship Webinar
Horses are fascinating and perceptive creatures. Developing a thorough understanding of how a horse interprets the world around them and deliberately being self-aware as a rider, are the essential skills to a successful and fulfilling partnership. This webinar follows the information in my latest book,The Psychology of Horsemanship. In ‘the old days’ I would have held an evening demonstration, but as that is not an option for the near future, I thought we could meet online.
I aim to share my passion and knowledge about horses and riders developed from over forty years’ experience in the equestrian world, and more recently several years in the mental health profession. Divided into three separate events, each lasting one hour, the webinar covers:
Part 1: Equine Psychology (Understanding the horse)
The horse’s senses, primary responses and emotion
Saturday 16th May 2020 2-3pm
Part 2: Training Psychology (Understanding yourself)
The rider’s communication, training and learning from past experiences
Saturday 23rd May 2020 2-3pm
Part 3 Relational Psychology (Understanding the partnership
The goals, the development and the challenges faced in successful horsemanship
Saturday 30th May 2020 2-3pm
The sessions will be live with me and other participants. We will use Zoom, and you will receive an email with a link to join the session in advance. I can send you the information you will need. It is fairly straightforwards, but extra time will be given ahead of the meeting to log on.
The webinar will be recorded and available afterwards for you to watch again. There will be a chance to chat and discuss any related issues you may wish to share. You can register below.
There will be no refund of tickets available on cancellation, but they can be transferred to another seminar.
