Winter is tough for many people. Short days and cold wet weather are a long way from the colours and warmth of summer, often leading to depression, or S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder).
What I offer:
As a therapeutic counsellor, my role is to provide a safe place for you to explore your feelings: providing an outlet for emotions brought up by life events, such as bereavement, or coping with anxiety and depression brought about by the struggle of day-to-day life.
Low self-esteem and lack of confidence can get in the way of personal growth. Counselling is about having someone to talk to you can trust, who is non-judgemental and works with you to understand your world.
I work in an integrative way, bringing together different therapies that are beneficial for you personally. Therapeutic counselling can help you to change the way you view and accept yourself. I offer short or long term counselling, depending on individual needs. Please call me on 07710 420357 to talk about how I can best help you.
Therapies I use:
- Person-centred (about you)
- Psychosynthesis (understanding yourself)
- Gesthalt (body awareness)
- Transpersonal (spirituality)
- Psycodynamic (childhood)
Counsellling can help with (for example):
- Anxiety, stress
- Bereavement (people or pets)
- Relationships (people or pets/horses)
- Life events
- Eating Disorders
- Low self esteem
- Divorce & separation
- Affairs and betrayal
How to book your first session
Taking that first step to ask for help can be extremely daunting, and it takes courage to make that call, send that text message or email.
Once we have made contact, we will make an appointment for your first session, which will be about what the counselling process is, and how we work together to give you the best support. It can take a few weeks to become familiar with how the process helps you and to feel the benefits. Counselling is not about a quick fix, but to sow the seeds of long-term progress and personal development. We will set a time and day which suits you for your future sessions.
Price of Counselling:
£40 (50 minutes)

Why is exercise good for your mind and body?
Exercise for health: as well as improving your energy levels and improving sleep and digestion, it helps you to feel positive about yourself, increasing your self-esteem, which is a useful tool in coping with common mental health challenges such as depression and anxiety. Learning how to stretch and relax your body also calms the mind. Controlled breathing and focusing mindfully on how you are moving helps to prevent a ‘busy brain’ from worrying about day-to-day concerns. Music is a great way to lift your mood, and brings a sense of enjoyment to getting fitter. Improving co-ordination improves concentration and dexterity.
It can be difficult to be inspired to exercise alone, so joining a class is a great way to meet new friends if you are feeling lonely. Making exercise part of your daily life, combined with eating sensibly contributes to a long, healthy life.
